ABOUT
Alonso van 't Stelenshof, with Mecenas, does not immediately have the sparkling name as a sire but that does not detract from his qualities. He stood out because of his correct foundation, good trot with a nice attitude, fine canter and above that a cheerful character. His 2 older brothers are in the stallion rearing program.
Sire Mecenas was a high-blooded Polish warmblood (3/4 thoroughbred) through his half-blood sire Madryt and his Anglo Araber dam Maciejka. He successfully ran Z dressage as a 5-year-old and ZZ in Holland as a 7-year-old. His blood expression and hardness he gave to Alonso, although here the connection with the Anglo Araber Matcho OX will also play a role.
Through the dam Florentina v. Floriscount (by world champion Florencio I) comes even more dressage quality in this foal because the granddam, the state premium mare Manjou (by Matcho OX ) gave in combination with Rotspon the Inter I mare Rosengirl. The beautiful coffee chestnut color Alonso weelightly got from his grandfather Floriscount.
